Whether you are looking to learn how to analyze a script, create a complex character or just exercise your imagination, our acting classes offer a comprehensive and expansive place to take risks and work on your craft.

Adults 18+ only
Unleash your creativity and increase your range of self expression in this 9 week all encompassing journey into the “self” through physical acting. Embody characters, explore archetypes, and play in the gamut of human behavior. Lucid Body is your ticket to the depth of human authenticity and self expansion for the stage and screen!
Classes include a rigorous yoga-based warm-up, followed by physical acting exercises, and a group discussion.
Classes run for 9 SUNDAYS from 6:00pm-9:00pm: Sept. 27 Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25 Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22

For Ages 18+
In this class, students will learn acting techniques to teach them how to live moment to moment on stage and screen, engage their own truth and stoke their imagination. Using text analysis, acting exercises with voice and breath work, this class will guide you on a fun, engaging path toward honing your craft as an actor while fostering a supportive and open space for exploration and play!

About the instructor…
Katherine Kahrs (she/they) is a native of New Jersey, started her career in New York City, developing theater, working in film and TV, while acting, directing and coaching performers. Her TV/film credits include work on NBC, Lifetime, Turner Broadcasting. In the theater Katherine has worked with Primary Stages, Ensemble Studio Theater, The Inwood Shakespeare Company, FringeNYC, Snapped Productions and Shakespeare70. Katherine is also the founder of Owl-Light Theater Company. She has produced several award-winning independent films. Her film, ‘79 Parts, directed by Ari Taub, won the Audience Award for Best Film at the Soho International Film Festival and her original screenplays have won awards at both national and international film festivals. Most recently they wrote and directed the short film, A Grave Disturbance (awarded Best Dark Drama at the Oregon Short Film Festival) set for release in 2025.
